AP600 Cruise Control — Electric Actuator Kit

Command AP500 Cruise Control

An aftermarket cruise control is a valuable addition for anyone who spends a lot of time driving on the highway or long stretches of road. The AP600 provides increased comfort, better fuel economy, and improved safety by allowing you to set and maintain a constant speed — reducing driver fatigue and improving the overall driving experience.

One of the key advantages of the AP600 is improved fuel economy. Maintaining a constant speed optimises your vehicle's fuel efficiency, which can deliver meaningful savings at the bowser over time — especially for anyone who regularly covers long highway distances.

The AP600 also enhances safety. Consistent speed management helps prevent sudden braking and acceleration, which are common hazards on the highway. It also reduces driver fatigue, one of the leading causes of accidents on long drives.

How the AP600 Works

The AP600 reads the electronic speed signal from an electronic gearbox transducer, reed-switch speedometer, or ECU. Calibration to your vehicle's PPM (Pulse Per Minute) range is achieved through a straightforward on-road calibration process while driving — no prior knowledge of your vehicle's PPM rate is required.

Cruise control sensitivity and initial engagement rate can each be individually adjusted to suit the driver's preferences while driving. The AP600 is suitable for most Australian and imported vehicles, including four-wheel drives and light commercials with traditional throttle systems. Many Drive-by-Wire throttle system vehicles are also approved when fitted with an optional vehicle-specific hardware kit. An optional clutch switch is recommended for vehicles with manual transmissions, with a choice of switch styles available (sold separately).
