A deep dive into our high-performance standards.
An aftermarket cruise control is a valuable addition for anyone who spends a lot of time driving on the highway or long stretches of road. The AP900 provides increased comfort, better fuel economy, and improved safety by allowing you to set and maintain a constant speed — reducing driver fatigue and improving the overall driving experience.
Maintaining a constant speed optimises your vehicle's fuel efficiency, which can deliver meaningful savings over long distances. It also reduces the risk of sudden braking and acceleration — common hazards on the highway — and helps combat driver fatigue, one of the most common causes of accidents on long drives.
Developed by Lite-On Automotive Electronics and Command Auto Group Pty Ltd, the AP900 Series is an electronic interface cruise control designed specifically for Drive-by-Wire vehicle applications. After significant product testing and evaluation, the AP900 is now available in Australia and offers substantial advantages for electronic interface Drive-by-Wire installations.
The AP900 Series is suitable for multiple vehicle applications and uses both vehicle-specific and universal harnesses for various vehicle brands, eliminating the need to stock multiple cruise control models. This can significantly reduce inventory requirements. Calibration for your specific installation can be performed on-road (using a similar procedure to the AP500 series) or via PC — a state-of-the-art process that allows precise adjustments to suit vehicle characteristics or driver preferences.
The AP900 can be programmed to suit factory switches in many vehicles and is suitable for use in vehicles with modern engine conversions. Installers must be qualified and approved by Command Auto prior to purchase.
The AP900 supports a universal harness for broad multi-fit applications, making fitment straightforward across a wide range of vehicles. Dedicated harnesses are also available to fit modern vehicle pedal ECUs precisely.
