The iLX-F509A provides the opportunity to add a reverse camera and either a front or side camera directly to the unit. Those requiring even greater visibility can expand to a total of four cameras through the KCX-C250MC Multi-Camera Selector Interface (sold separately). All connected cameras can be toggled directly from the camera screen, providing a commanding view of any potential obstacles around your vehicle.
The iLX-F509A provides excellent installation flexibility. At any time you can set the display angle anywhere between +45 degrees and -20 degrees to suit the specific dashboard and your desired viewing position. You can also adjust the angle on the fly to mitigate glare in certain conditions.
Positioning of the display in the dashboard is crucial for aesthetics and function. The display height can be adjusted +/- 3 cm above or below the centre position, allowing installation into virtually any dashboard with a 1 or 2 DIN slot. The display depth can also be adjusted by 20 mm for a perfect flush fit.
The KAE-1DT and KAE-1DB optional blanking plates make any 2-DIN installation straightforward with a professional finish. These plates fill the void of the 1-DIN space either at the top or underneath when using a conventional 2-DIN dash fascia installation kit, secured by machine thread screws for a robust result.
